Masjid Sadar and Community Center essay competition on the topic of “My Ramadan” for ages 8 to 18:
Categories for ages 8-10, 11-13, and 14-18. Deadline for essay submission is Saturday April 15.

- Eligibility: The competition is open to all individuals between the ages of 8 to 18 who reside in the community surrounding the Masjid Sadar and Community Center.
- Submission: Essays should be submitted electronically on the Google Form provided.
- Word Limit: The essays should be no longer than 250 words for ages 8-10 and 500 words for the other 2 categories. Any entries exceeding the word limit will not be considered.
- Originality: All essays must be original works and should not have been previously published. Any plagiarism will result in disqualification.
- Topic: The essay topic should be related to the theme of “My Ramadan”. The essays can be reflective or descriptive, as long as they are focused on the topic and reflect the writer’s personal experience.
- Language: The essay must be written in English.
- Judging Criteria: The essays will be judged on the basis of creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, and overall writing quality. The judges’ decision will be final and no appeal will be entertained.
- Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each age group.
- Rights: Masjid Sadar and Community Center reserves the right to publish the winning essays on its website and social media pages. By submitting an essay, the writer agrees to grant Masjid Sadar and Community Center the right to use and publish the essay without any compensation.
