Masjid Sadar held its first major event “Igniting the Spark Within” last night to bring the Sayreville Muslim community the awareness to prepare for the upcoming sacred month of Ramadan. The seed of Iman that is to be planted in Rajab was nourished with the beautiful recitation of the Quran by Sheikh Waleed Elbatrawish and Sheikh Nady Kishk made our hearts warm and the look into how important making the month of Sha’ban a key to preparing for Ramadan.
Masjid Al-Wali’s Director, Ustadh Nazimool Saheb, reminded the community of the blessings of preparing for Ramadan by sharing that we plant the seeds in Rajab, water them in Sha’ban, and In Shaa Allah harvest them in Ramadan.
All the community volunteers who showed their commitment to the center by helping in parking in freezing temperatures and the ones preparing masjid for the event, distributing food, clean up afterwards made this event the success it enjoyed. May Allah bless their efforts and bless their families for helping in this cause. May Allah reward the community for attending and May this United effort bring all the fruitful result for this community center. We must thank Allah first and the sheikhs who made this event beautiful.
Mashallah Allah brought together so many of us at this event to grow our minds and stomachs with beautiful knowledge and delicious food. May Allah bring so much barakah to our masjid. Allahumma baligna Ramadan. Ameen sum ameen.
